Our path from a small local initiative to a recognized fencing club
2024
The club reached 33 medals in World and European Championships among cadets and juniors.
2023
Gold medal at the European Junior Championship in Tallinn.
2023
A major renovation and modernization of the sports hall was carried out. The space was completely redesigned to meet all the requirements of fencing: from flooring to lighting and equipment. Now the hall fully complies with modern standards and is perfectly suited for fencing training.
2022
Club fencers became world champions among juniors in Dubai.
2015
Hotel rooms were built next to the sports hall, providing comfortable accommodation for athletes and guests. This made it possible to hold training camps, competitions, and events with everything literally within walking distance — a convenience especially appreciated by participants and trainers.
2013
The club's achievements in recent years have been quite impressive: 63 medals from European and World Championships, World Cups, and the Maccabiah Games: 16 gold medals, 20 silver medals, 27 bronze medals. Based on these results, the club is considered the strongest in the world in épée among juniors and cadets. In addition, our fencer Alona Komarov is ranked number one in the world rankings. 80% of the Israeli junior and cadet national team is made up of athletes from the Maccabi Yishkar Maalot club.
2006
The club became the organizer of the Cadet and Junior World Cup, which has been held annually ever since. Over the years, athletes from more than 40 countries have participated, making the tournament one of the most significant events in the international youth fencing calendar.
2005
Two gold medals at the Maccabiah Games - in individual and team competitions.
2004
The team won a silver medal at the European Junior Championship.
2001
The team won a gold medal at the Maccabiah Games.
2000
Anastasia Ferdman won a bronze medal at the Junior World Championship.
1994
Foundation of the club by coach Yakov Ferdman in Maalot-Tarshiha.
